I picked up these seeds in Alicante Spain. The gardeners had blown them all into a big pile so no way to know which palm they came from. They took over a year to germinate, more like two.

I'm thinking the round ones could be Butia Odorata and the long ones Butia Yatay? Any help would appreciated.

I think you're right about the round ones - the seeds and sprouts look like Butia odorata.  Not sure about the odd shaped seeds.  Could be yatay but they look a little like Latania loddigesii seeds.

I agree with the round ones looking like butias. The middle ones I'm also not sure of. I would say they don't look like yatay.

Saba seeds are smaller and flatter. These are big, perhaps 1.5 to 2 cm, and round.
