Very nice Allen, I have one that I bought as a 3 yr old and I'm fixingvto keep it thru my 3rd winter. I may plant mine about may or go with a larger container. Yours looks perfect.

Yes it's at the size where I'm telling it not to grow any more.

That one is real nice shade of blue.  There are so many green ones around, the blue ones seem to be more difficult to find.

It really varies.  I bought one in 2012 that was in a 7-gal container with another 7-gal palm at the same nursery that was flowering.  As of 2022 that same palm had yet to flower!  I'm attaching a photo of mine here in Rio Hondo that has been in the ground since 2020.  It's about the same size as the one I mentioned earlier but hasn't flowered yet.  @Dartolution has a nice one that is smaller than mine that has already flowered.

@Allen the Butia looks great! Really like the form on it!

As @Fusca stated - Mine flowered this year (and is sending up a 3rd inflo I just noticed yesterday). It was purchased as a 3 gallon in early March of 2020 and is now over 6 foot from the base to the top fronds and flowering. There is a small amount of fruit on it now that is developing, but I do not have high hopes for it this late in the season. We shall see.

Mine was probably in the 8'-9' overall height before it bloomed.  Definitely bigger than @Allen Butia.  Probably next year for his.

@Sabal King near perfectly fine. Only tip burn and otherwise looks just fine thankfully. 

I did stuff some frost cloth in the crown with a small heat cable.

Butia "Pineapple cut" or as close as I could get to that!  I used this little battery chainsaw and it was as much angle as I could get

Looks great @Allen. While I don't have to go to such extremes here, I did throw some frost cloth in the crown and a small heat cable around the meristem in this arctic blast. Did fine. We got down to 11.7F here. No damage on the butia that I can tell.

Looks great if there is damage it probably won't show up on the butia till it's hot and growing.

Yeah, I don't expect any this year. It had the least damage of any of my palms in December 22' with ~50% burn at 10F but 80+ hours below freezing. This got cold yeah, but no where near much sustained cold. 

I don't even think my sabal 'blackburniana' will have too much damage. Maybe tips. I don't see much bronzing or cell rupture which is usually obvious.  fingers crossed!
