7A Sabal brazoriensis over the Years

I thought I would start a thread to track this one as it grows.  It should really take off next year.  It would grow faster if it was out in the sun on it's own.

Do you have problems with white scale on any of your sabals?

Wow! Good job, Allen! And in a city only about a 50-mile drive from my home! I've been meaning to get my hands on some Brazoria palmettos, and it's good to know in advance that they're worth the effort here!

I'm just a neurodivergent Middle Tennessean guy that's obsessively interested in native plants (especially evergreen trees/shrubs) from spruces to palms.

It's going crazy on my potted juvenile Uresana.  I've tired neem oil, insecticide soap, Bayer insect-mite spray, applying alcohol, spraying the plant with a strong water stream.  The scale keeps coming back.  I have applied systematic insecticide, hopefully that will eventually work.

7A Sabal brazoriensis ... Well that's good to know. Did you know in advance that these were capable of growing unprotected in 7A?

Allen, I saw that Woodlanders had some S.birminham for sale. Don't know what size they arrive.

I’ve used all those you listed, the best thing that helps the most is spray with insecticidal soap, then scrub all the leaves with an old toothbrush and then spray with a hose. Then I will spray with insecticidal soap and keep checking it out every few days. Staying on them is the only way
