It’s jacaranda season and due to the dry weather the flowers are spectacular as usual the whole town has a festival to celebrate the flowers the whole city of Grafton in Australia is planted with avenues of tree# lining the streets and backyards in 1879 Mr H. A. Volkers was contracted to plant trees for the council so he planted the whole town with jacarandas people from all around the globe come to see colourful trees a bit much like the cherry blossom in Japan it’s a wonderful festival with many activities with the crowning of the the jacaranda queen a tradition dating back many years with whole generations of families  involved so thanks to Mr Volkers a whole city blooms in purple flowers

Don’t give up they can grow quite fast and eventually become a weed in some locations give them a large area to grow into very cold tolerant dry tolerant a great tree to plant together with them is the Australian flame tree they flower together in my location making a spectacular red and purple flower show
