Its jacaranda festival time in the city Grafton in Australia in 1879 Mr H. A. Volkers was contracted by the council to plant trees so planted the whole town with avenues of jacaranda trees lining the streets and parks it’s a world famous festival with bus loads of tourists from all around the globe coming to see it just like the cherry blossoms of Japan so thanks to Mr Volkers the town turns purple once a year
