Another Australian rainforest tree that’s easy to propagate the black bean it has a spectacular flower grows into a very large tree after many years well worth growing quite cold tolerant you often see the seed pods floating down the river after floods which is were I acquired these seeds from the Clarence river a nice tree to have in a large garden

Also known as Moreton Bay Chestnut, right? I have grown it from seed as well - just germinated early this year. Looking forward to growing it and planting in my garden. Thanks for highlighting it.

Yes the moreton bay chestnut I prefer to only grow my local variety due to genetic drift for the local population but otherwise a spectacular tree with beautiful flowers
