Amazing that there’s a 9b zone that far north. Very little summer heat in Brookings though but A. cunninghamiana tolerate cool temperatures well.

That’s amazing, plus new usda map showing 10a in extreme southern coastal Oregon.

Corpus Christi, TX, near salt water, zone 9b/10a! Except when it isn't and everything gets nuked.

Also, zone 9a exists along much of the remainder of points north onto Vancouver Island (Canada) and scattered throughout the San Juan and Gulf Islands.

Great find! I’ve often wondered if Brookings could support them and now I’m curious what else may be viable there.

Ceroxylon, Howea, Rhopalostylis, and Hedescepe would likely do well in the climate there.

I think we have at least one PalmTalker based in Brookings or nearby.  I think he has posted pictures of a Jubaea, possibly on his property.  As would be expected, I saw CIDP, Washingtonia, and Trachycarpus along highway 101 from the CA border to Florence, where I turned inland.
