In some states it's a misdemeanor to not provide identification.

Any help would be appreciated.  These are at the house I recently moved into, Spring Lake North Carolina.

Exhibit A:

I thought it was a Cammelia but as usual, I'm wrong. But even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Exhibit B is growing under the shade of Crepe Myrtles, this low creeping vine is everywhere

Exhibit C almost looks like a Buxus.

1st two are Silverberry, Elaeagnus pungens..

Variegated plan is Periwinkle, Vinca Major to be exact.

Not certain about the 3rd plant, but could be Gardenia jasminoides,  based on what the fruit looks like on it.

Sorry I missed your comment until now; perhaps I should replace it with something more productive.

:greenthumb:  Totally forgot to mention this  ..next to Privet,  and Buckthorn,  avoid these ..Even though the flowers do smell quite nice.

I just saw Privet at Home Depot yesterday.  You would think commercial businesses would be required to be more attentive to selling invasive species.  I know I  couldn't legally buy/import Arum italicum (i think it was) in Washington state.   Thank you for the info, I will be sure to avoid these.

You'd think so, but, lol ..I'll still see stuff that shouldn't be on their shelves at times when checking on what the neighborhood big boxes / some other " general " nurseries are selling.

Not sure what came of it, but was involved w/ an online petition where the person who'd started it was pursuing exactly this issue ( Making such places accountable for offering well known invasive plants )

Regardless,  Have heard of similar efforts getting off the ground in other parts of the country also.. Wayy past time for such a shift to happen.  Yes, any  non native plant can pose an escape-ee risk -somewhere, but some stuff is just awful and should be replaced with a less aggressive non native, ..or native / regionally native alternative / option as soon as it is listed. No questions / push back ( from bigger growers who might have to cull any remaining " mother " plant stock allowed.
