I gave this hybrid spindle x bottle to my friend Phil it has come time for it come back home it is  to large for my friend Phil to manage anymore it’s around 20 years of age iam hoping to gift it to another palm collector for his 40 year old garden with some amazing palms he has in his garden i thought it would only just add to his collection they are a rare palm in my area

Man, that one has seen better days….   Probably would respond nicely to an uppot/in ground planting, and some consistent water and fertilizer.   I love watching a palm like this “pop” with a little TLC.

Yes she’s had a hard day or two and the temperature gets to around 40 plus on a hot northern wind and down to near zero degrees in winter so endurance is in this palm for sure not to mention lack of water the palm will be planted in the ground soon

I could never leave one in a pot that small.  Once topping up the soil no longer covers the top roots, up in size they go. Mine were due for a feed last week but it is either pouring with rain or in the high 30s and already I panic about them being hungry.

Yer I couldn’t believe the poor palm it will go to a good home my friend Phil is getting to the stage he couldn’t pot it up

It’s actually on a golden cane stem the blue faced honey eater bird nest in it every year the same family I think it’s pretty nice they do so
