Lipstick palm growth rate?

Being naive newbie, planted lots of redstick palms. About 2 meters (6.5 feet ) high. After 2 months of not seeing much, started looking for a growth rate and the only piece of info I found is 1 feet a year! It's quite shockingly slow! I wish I have looked up before planting. I have seen many tall mature plants around and did not think it's going to be an issue.  What's the actual growth rate people see in humid tropics?? Rigth after planting and later on during first few years?

Cyrtostachys renda is not too fast growing.  There is a hybrid that growth much faster and less cold sensitive:

I saw that during my research. Are there seeds available anywhere?
