So i have 2 that have basically finished there lives. I see some grass pups hidden in the dead leaves, tons of pods containing what seems to be a ton of seeds in each. So are the seed pods worth doing anything with? will they grow, would i still be alive to see them grow lol.  It's about time i cut them down and do something with that location.

If there is seed in the pods, won't hurt to try and grow some of it..  Whether or not you're alive to see 'em flower? ..try sprouting 'em anyway :greenthumb:

It sounds like those plants went to seed just in time! The pods containing seeds are definitely worth collecting before removing the dead plants. You never know which seeds may sprout if planted. Even if you don't live to see them fully grown, it would be nice to pass some offspring along to the next generation of that species. Maybe see if a local gardener or nursery would want the seeds too. At least that spot can be refreshed now for something new to grow there. Thanks for letting the plants complete their life cycles before clearing them out.

So did you save the grass pups you found?  I have had great success propagating them.  This was a grass pups off the original plant I got about 18 or 19 years ago.  I have numerous other pups from this plant that I removed from its base.

Also a follow-up on the seed; did you try germinating it?

Yeah i have a community pot with the pups, see how it goes.  I put the flower stalks on the ground where they might sprout on their own, we shall see. Has to be a million seeds in these stalks lol. Thats a fine one there, nice job.
