Can someone help me identify this possible Areca species from Borneo?

Long story short:  I got scammed by an Indonesian seller who was supposed to be sending me some Pinanga seeds.  When the seeds arrived, it was obvious that they were something very different than what I had ordered, but I don't know what species it is.  It looks like some sort of Areca species (Paul Craft thinks so), so if someone has an idea of what it is, I appreciate any and all help!  The location where the palms are was given to me as "Location of Nanga Mahap sub-district, Sekadau district Indonesia's West Kalimantan province".  It looks like there are about 17 Areca species on the island of Borneo, and some can easily be ruled out.  Of course, it might not be Areca at all, but possibly a Pinanga or something else entirely, but this is way out of my comfort zone.

Thanks, Scott.  The seeds look a bit like that species, but the palm doesn't.  Unfortunately, I think the seeds look like a lot of species, LOL.

The pics of the palm look like Pinanga philippinensis (or similar Pinanga) to me. I’m unable to confirm if the seeds match, but palmpedia does cite quite a bit of variability in the species group. The cleaned seed shapes look like it could still pass as P. philippinensis to me.

Some photos on palmpedia look similar, but quite a bit of variability. Just my guess though.

Thank you, Dr. Dransfield!!!  I'm much obliged for your help!  That does match the description almost perfectly.

Well, how’s that for an answer from a such reliable source? I’d say pretty great.

@Bigfish reporting back a 100% germination rate on the dozen “Pinanga mooreana” seeds you sent me back in January. They are expressing an interesting burgundy color now as seedlings. I’m looking forward to watching the color and leaflet shape develop as they mature. Thanks again for the making these seeds available.

Cool!  Those are beautiful.  Too bad nobody seems to want them.
