Hello I am looking for a mule palm and or mule seeds ( Butia capitata and Syagrus romanzoffiana) I have googled and the sites that come up with smaller options that can be shipped continue to show out of stock since last spring. Thanks for any and all help

I found these on ebay, but beware, the seller told me he harvested them from an "established mule palm tree", are we still in agreement that seeds from a mule palm are always sterile?

It's not that the seed are sterile, it's that most don't even produce seeds.  The flowers just shrivel up and drop off because of the sterility.

If you search the archives I think there's one thread regarding a mule at Huntington Gardens that produced a few fertile seeds.

No, this is not true.  They are SELF sterile, but can be back-crossed.  I have several palms that have a mule as the mother, crossed with Butia, Butia x Jubaea, etc.  I would think they can also be back-crossed with the Syagrus genus, again with BxS as the mother plant.
