With the summer heat the lizards are out and about introducing the blue tounge lizard and the bearded dragon common names often seen around my property the blue tounge will live very close to humans in the garden or under or around the house in dry spot the dragon lizard will not be far away but usually seen around the property baking in the sun on a fence post such great animals to have and live with free garden pets

Blue Tongues are favourites as pets. Tiliqua scincoides ssp. scincoides is the subspecies on the east coast, here it's Tiliqua scincoides ssp. intermedia.

Like a lot of dragon lizards, the Eastern Bearded Dragon, Pogona barbata, is an ambush predator. That's why you often see them perched up high where they get a good view of the surroundings. If they see something they run and pounce.

Both are common in the pet trade.

Yes I was aware of the pet trade good and bad can come from the trade with mixed emotions about it interesting there an ambush predator I would like to see that in action
