Pretty neat palm as a juvenile too bad they don’t keep this color very long!!!

Yeah but still beautiful as they soar skyward, with those magnificent airy crowns.

A neat palm! Mine kept that color for three or four years, and then just took off. I honestly would be equate it’s growth rate of that of Washingtonia at this point. Pretty fast. It has a “looser” crown than L. Decora when mature.

I actually have 3 I started from seed this is the one I planted first some time ago!! Trying to hold the fronds from a Sabal minor out of the way so I could try to get a decent shot!!

Here is a Mariae planted about 10 years ago. Very drought tolerant, and once it started going, as I mentioned, it’s just taken off. Notice the openness of the crown.
