Thinking about germinating these seeds I got from my kentia palm. I took pics of the seeds in different stages. Which seed pods at which stage is best to try to start germinating them in the soil?  Anybody in SoCal or anywhere have success in germination and method plus time it takes to germinate?IMG_7562.thumb.jpeg.346cfe512a492329f9117055efb86ee8.jpeg

From your pictures, the seeds are much too early in their development to germinate. Below is a picture of ripe mature seeds for reference.  Pic is from Jungle Music

They can take a long time 12 months or more to germinate hurricanepalms is correct your seeds are no where near ready they can take a very long time to mature as well but the red seeds are definitely the colour you want

Yep , I used to collect and sell seeds to a large Kentia farm locally and they liked the deep red seeds. Those are not ready for harvest. A lot of the seeds I would find fell off the palms after a wind event. When they are ready they almost fall off into your hand. A year or more after my first seeding Kentia dropped seeds, I had two volunteers, they are still alive . Here in Southern California they are very slow to germinate , at least in the garden on their own. I was told by the farm that if you rough up the seed a bit it helps , probably bottom heat or greenhouse for best results. Harry
