This one spent almost an extra week in transit and arrived 2 days after the "late" arrival date from USPS. I know nothing about these, except I've wanted one for a few years now, and this is the first one I've ever seen in reality.

I'm really impressed with the size for a 1g plant, and it's definitely ready for a bigger pot. It's nice and rooty!

I'm just concerned, and maybe I'm paranoid. It looks kinda light to me, so I figured I'd ask the experts (y'all). I'm sure it's in shock but I'd be in shock if I spent 2 weeks in a box and USPS trucks too.

4am cocktail for scale, don't judge me I just got off work. IMG_20240406_040600.thumb.jpg.9268f4a427773ecbc91c565409a1b8ab.jpg

I had mine shipped from Maui many years ago and it acclimated quickly, it was much smaller than yours. They are slow growers when young but pick up speed when they form a trunk. I used a mild dose of Palm Plus every 3-4 months for the first 5 years . I am told they don’t like cold , but mine has seen upper 30’s , no frost . It has never even blinked at winter here but I am in a bit of a micro climate for being 20 miles from the coast in Southern California. I keep it trimmed because it is right next to a path on the side of my house. This was last year . Harry

Y'all give me hope. And @happypalms I'd trade but I think with shipping costs and phyto certs this would end up costing us each about $600 lol
