Is this a Ming Aralia?

It's an aralia but I don't think it's a Ming.  I've attached a photo of a Lace Ming.  The leaves on a regular Ming are not as fine but are much lacier than those in your photo.

This is in Gene Joyner’s garden in LW. He identifies it as a Ming Aralia.  I did not believe that it was a Ming either based upon my research but was uncertain. Signs are not always accurate! His property is so dense with out of the ordinary specimens that it is possible that he has one but this specimen is not properly labeled. It's a Dieffenbachia but I can't tell you the species.
