Dooms Dave's Pseudophoenix sargentii

Back in his epic 2007 Florida trip, DoomsDave made a trip to my then office (with my buddy Pedro). Dave and I rolled (in a vehicle) around looking at palms and other shrubbery. I was great meeting him, and I think we both had a great time!

Not too far away from the office, Dave asked me to pull over to look at a young specimen. I think the Buccaneer Palm resembles a California highly grown species that he thought he have he have stumbled upon( what is that palm?).

This is a picture of the palm that I have named Dave's Buccaneer. Seventeen years later and it is starting to seuss. Time flies as Cicero observed:3A616107-8A16-442B-AA1F-165F6FBC1DBF.thumb.jpeg.82742d8a0d8206f64b0c8069474e2424.jpeg

Gene's and those Arizona Carribean grown varieties all seem to look better than here where they are indigenous!
