Recently My red latan palm fronds are turning brown and look like the petioles wrinkly I don’t know what to do to help it. I would Appreciate it if anybody has Any answers that can help solve the issue, and should it be planted? Thanks 🙏 IMG_1838.thumb.jpeg.a273b2131232db1602f238f21f80f1b6.jpegIMG_1837.thumb.jpeg.c384e3a69c753e8d9e425f81386968e1.jpeg

Without knowing any of the background info I’d check for spider mites or some other pests under the leaflets first. It could be sun damage if it has been recently hot and dry there or maybe even cold damage that is showing up now with the longer days burning the damaged fronds. It could even be a manganese deficiency or maybe under watering.
I’m not sure but I want to think these may be a palm that struggles on the west coast due to the long cool winter. I know they like lots of heat here in Florida and I’ve heard them described as “wimpy”. Someone with more experience than I have will probably chime in with a more certain diagnosis.
More info about watering, fertilization schedule, sun exposure, cold exposure, how long you’ve had it etc will help.

@D. Morrowii

I have finally found the cause to why its fronds were yellowing and browning. The yellowing was because I put the Red Latan Palm in a spot with a lot of sunlight. Mine now looks way better and has a maroon colored petiole, which I heard gives more red-ish color due to the humidity percentage. I also Repotted it and eventually planted it in the ground, I will post it soon on how it’s doing now.

Thanks @lordbiznezz👍
