FYI, on the Licuala seeds, I always let those dry out for a few days, then crack and remove hard shell. I put them on newspaper on a sidewalk and ‘gently’ roll around with my foot applying ‘light pressure’ and shells crack off easily. You can lose a few this way if u get too rough with them, but they sprout easily with in a month that way.

Sorry, I just realized I wrote Licuala elegans var ‘Sumawongii’ . I don’t know what I was thinking. 
‘It’s Licuala peltata var. ‘sumawongii’

I noticed that but figured 'sumawongii' was plenty clear.  :)

I used tweezers as a nut cracker, seemed to work fairly well, just squeeze till you hear a crack then peel back the shell.
