Do these also tend to blow over after flowering like Caryota urens or do I have a couple months to chop it down once I get some seeds before it crashes down on my car?

They get so large before they flower that you'll need a bucket truck to safely cut it up and/or a crane to remove the remains.

Yeah I knew that part.  Like a monocarpic Jubaea.

Just want to make sure that it's not also going to blow over.  I have 15 years or so to save up for the removal job... lol

I think it takes several months once the flowers first appear . Keep an eye on the new fronds , they will get much smaller prior to the death roll. Then keep checking the trunk for any instability . I have had an eight foot C. Mitis that had flowered blow over but they aren’t near the size of Obtusa (Gigas) . Mine has been growing for over 15 years as well as my Urens and both are ok so far. I see what you did there in terms of placement… this is my plan too.  Put it on the side of the house where it will be the easiest to remove.  Looks nice, very tropical.

@ahosey01 I did the same thing with mine.  It's planted about 2 feet from the driveway, with an easy drop angle for two different directions.  I planned the same for a few other palms and some big bamboo like Dendrocalamus Latiflorus.  Unfortunately I did NOT do this when I planted 5 Queens up close to the house on the West side.  They are going to be a nightmare to remove later, and I think I'm probably going to chop them all down before they get over the roofline.
