Stealing @Xenon's idea here though it is truly summer now!
😇
Excited about the planting of a Sabal Causiarum x Palmetto hybrid (off-spring of the 'Megatron' palm, as I understand). Thanks to @Sabal King for helping spread these genetics.

Here's to a long life!

Woot-Woot! My "Megatron2" is still kickin it and suffered next to no winter damage from this past arctic blast/cold-nado/ice-a-gedon... whatever it is they are calling it 🙄.

Mine is in a 5 gallon tall nursery can though (until...)

I planted some Cabbage Palm (Sabal Palmetto) seedlings just for fun because it is that season.  I've already planted some of the non-native varieties I've wanted to plant here a long time ago.

I'm starting some landscape work in the back. Some trees taken out and ancillary plants (BLEs) added.

It isn't really planted yet, but I wanted to show my newest purchase. I got my hands on a smaller mule palm. I have been wanting one for a while. I plan to grow it larger before putting it in the ground. That should also give me plenty of time to carefully plan where I want to put it.
