I got this as a strap leaf seedling in winter from a fellow enthusiast. He must've got the tag mixed up. I'm thinking a Phoenix of some type.

I believe you are correct.  Definitely looks like it is going pinnate and not palmate.  No clue on what species at that stage - I doubt that the seed is still attached.  That would help with an ID.  If it was grown from a collected seed it's likely a hybrid anyway.  :)

Yikes!! Normally it’s a wrong is from the same genus but this is a bit off lol
