Hi, I just wanted to know if a newly planted golden cane palm will survive planted 1.2m away from an established Cocos Palm

I have a large one planted about that close to a mature Syagrus R. Queen Palm. They have been cohabitating for many years. Harry

@Scotty1988 no problem, they are both similar in their needs for sun, water, and nutrients.  The only time close planting is a problem is if one's a desert palm and the other is a swamp dweller, or if one of the two is an invasive spreader like Rhapis.  Otherwise most palms will live near each other just fine.

That’s quite a standard way to plant palms. Palms often like to have close company.
