A trip to the local markets today I had to buy some rainforest trees from one of my favourite growers I have been buy plants from John for the last 30 years he has some wonderful Australian rainforest plants and knows his plants well I will grow them on for a couple of seasons then plant them out to expand my garden with some more trees creating a canopy over time.

There are some fantastic rainforest trees being sold at  the markets with some true dedicated people that have made rainforest plants there specialty and a few good specialty nurseries especially in the northern rivers area a couple of hours drive north that were from the old Aquarius festival from the 70s with the left over Hippy days creating a wonderful movement for the environment and helping to save many ecosystems that would have been logged if were not for that movement of peace loving people if you find this book it’s a great documentary of the Australian rainforest story highly recommend reading.
