I have one in the ground here in DFW, going on its third year.. spear pulled two years in a row, growing more trunks now as well.  I'm taking two down to my ranch in ETX solid 8b.

Here's mine that does well in NorCal! I bought it about 5 years ago as "Serenoa repens cinerea." That's a Nannorrhops ritchiana photobombing it and also shading it too much!
