Looking great. What species is the opuntia in the last picture? Also, don’t be completely alarmed if your cordyline dies to the ground, mine have come back in the spring from the roots in z7a as well.

You have a very nice looking yard, very well maintained and also I like your selection of plants. If I were in your climate zone I would love to grow some musa basjoo.  I tried last year and they both died in the beginning of summer . We had too many days of 100 degrees .  They just turned into mush.  I probably did something wrong.

I’ve considered MSA bajoo in where I’m at too but we average 19” of rain per year and it’s 100 F almost everyday from June to October. I don’t think I could keep them watered enough.

Also are those Canna(s) if so what varieties?

I'm not sure of the variety but I know they're pretty hearty In the winter I just covered them up with a tarp and  c7 Incandescent Christmas lights In the past three years they have survived

I’ve seen that website before; what did they look like when they got to you and how many did you order? Also how long did it take for them to get that size, it says they are shipped in 4 in pots. Did you plant in the ground right away or pot it for a year.

I will have to do it in the spring it’s too late to plant. I have coffee cup colocasia and I have Alocasia potora or whatever it is but I have to dig those up in the winter and bring them inside. I think these you just cover with mulch right
