Hi All,

Why are my Areca Palm leaves getting holes?

Is this because of excess water, as here now is Monsoon season and it's raining a lot, the tree is planted in soil, so it can't be moved.

Please help me!

It looks to me like a leaf eating insect like a grasshopper or something. Palm looks healthy but it has become food for something. Harry

There are a number of insects that cause that type of damage. One group is a number of different weevils. Here is an article on one from Sri Lanka that has become common in Florida. https://entnemdept.ufl.edu/Creatures/orn/sri_lankan_weevil.htm Their damage is just cosmetic unless the infestation is really severe.
