These clusters of Sabal Minor located at Hammocks Beach State Park (Swansboro, North Carolina) are continuing to recover & look much better than they did just two months prior.

Is forest floor pretty clean now?

It always amazes me how palms , and other plants , can survive fire. I have seen charred palms sprout new growth in a matter of months after a fire event. Harry

Yeah, it’s amazing. These palms were nothing more than stumps at the beginning of June. Now they’re back with a vengeance.
