A fantastic Australian shrub or small tree the narrow leaved gardenia with its gardenia scented flowers that are overpowering in smell when you walk near it. Is an absolutely must have in the intimate viewing position or next to a pathway or in a small courtyard is sure to win the perfume contest.

Nice! I've got some seedlings of Atractocarpus benthamianus in my poly tunnel, waiting for a bit of canopy to develop before they hit the ground. They grow up at Dorrigo, so can obviously handle some cool weather, fingers crossed.

South Arm, Tasmania, Australia - 42° South

Mild oceanic climate, with coastal exposure.

Summer: 12°C (53°F) average min, to 21°C (70°F) average daily max. Up to 40°C (104°F max) rarely.

Winter: 6°C (43°F) average min, to 13°C (55°F) average daily max. Down to 0°C (32°F) occasionally, some light frost.

Nice score on the benthamianus. I will vouch for Dorrigo getting cold absolutely dam freezing in winter. You gotta try the Dorrigo Waratah there’s a challenge for you.

It's been on my wish list for a while but haven't come across any seeds yet...
