Recommended Posts

Seedlings are approximately a year old, 3 to 5 strap leaf liner sized and currently growing in Stuewe tree tubes.  These are more than ready to be upsized to 1 gallon or larger pots.

These were produced by local hybridizer Rich Lindberg, with the parent tree being acquired from a Southeastern Palm Society meeting some 10+ years ago and is said to be self fertile.

Price is $80 for one or $150 for two and includes shipping.   PayPal friends & family, Venmo or Zelle accepted

Large tree pictured is the parent...

Okay, a little more info...

Rich had worked with the tree several times trying to cross Syagrus on it but was never successful. So he decided to let nature do it's thing with one of the bracts and the result were these seed. His thought therefore is that it is self fertile. He then germinated and grew the plants to the size they are now.

@Scott W is there any chance these were pollinated by anything else ? Those are some extremely stretched out seedlings.

According to Rich no, these were self pollinated.  They were greenhouse grown so that may have had some affect on the growth.  I trust him, he produces thousands of super mules annually as well as some other rather unique hybrids not typically available.

@Scott W I trust these are what you say they are. I'm 0-2 with this particular hybrid which bums me out. The mother plant of these seedlings is gorgeous.
