South Florida Palm Society Fall Show and Sale at Fairchild

SFPS Sale:  Nov 2-3, at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

We are very excited to announce our Fall Palm Show and Sale at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, scheduled for November 2-3, 2024.   A list of the vendors and the plants for sale will be made available about a week before the show on the SFPS website and this website.    A list of growers should be available by October 20.

Our last sale in the Spring 2024, we had over 300 species.  We expect this sale to also be great, with a wide selection of common, uncommon and rare palms and cycads.    Also,  you can meet the local growers, who can help in selecting the perfect palm or cycad for your yard.   Sometimes, a bit of advice from a grower, can really help.   Going from pot to ground a bit too early, or making too small a hole, can be terrible choices.  But the right plant (perhaps a palm or cycad) in the right location, properly maintained, can be a real focal point to a landscape.

So join us at Fairchild Garden, where you can find palms and cycads not available elsewhere in Miami.   And enjoy Fairchild Garden too!

Today, we have posted to the SFPS website  the preliminary list of palms and cycads for sale as submitted by vendors.  It is not yet complete.  but I thought it best to post what we have received so far.   We will have an abundance of  common, uncommon and very rare palms and cycads for sale.

We have just compiled the consolidated list of palms and cycads to be offered at Fairchild Garden in Coral Gables, FL this weekend.   We are offering nearly 300 unique species/varieties of palms and cycads for sale, with many uncommon, rare and very rare species.

We hope to see you at Fairchild.  The sale is from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Saturday and Sunday.  If you're looking for truly rare palms and cycads, I suggest you come early on Saturday.
