Been growing this one for about two from a tube stock I purchased. A fast growing palm struggling a little bit but healthy enough to plant out. I figured I was having trouble with it so best to get it in the ground and see how it goes there. Get it out of the container and  in the ground the best medicine for it. Time will tell if was the prescription needed from doctor Palm.

Nice shady spot for it . Sometimes they get to a point of needing their feet in the dirt. When I moved here from my other house , I had a bunch of palms that were in pots in a lath house . Once I planted them , they seemed to do better , for the most part. The green house palms were a different story. I had no lath house here to harden them off before planting so I had many losses. The same goes for a sick indoor plant into the greenhouse for some much needed rest. If iam having trouble with a palm I find getting it out of the container into the ground certainly helps. Mother nature can be cruel yet so giving in beauty when she wants too. I find most palms sulk a bit as well after living in containers for a long time if I know iam going to plant a few I will put them in some shade in that spot we all have full of outdoor plants for a while. Sometimes I even put a couple of varieties I have potted up from a batch that will  live in the greenhouse outside just to grow some more hardy plants to the elements. Richard
