Johannesteijsmannia Altifrons spoilt for choice

The decision to plant the runt joeys I had from 2000 germinated ones Iam growing was not a good decision considering how slow they grow in a subtropical environment. With the pick of crop at hand I decided to transplant the runt Joey for a much healthier larger plant this one being the best of the 2000 seedlings. The one I chose is 3 years old and the best of the best they don’t come any better than this one. I will find out if it’s possible to transplant a small Joey so I dug  around its four sides withe shovel lifted it out and straight into a pot. I just figured iam not going to persevere with a runt when I have one of the best joeys in the batch saying plant me instead.

Hence the heading spoilt for choice. If I only had one I would be out there loving it more than the wife that’s for sure.

Tough but fair, the decision was pretty easy!
