Where are you located at? It looks great now. I planted some in August. I hope it was long enough to establish before winter. I live in an 8A dry winter zone. I don’t plan on protecting them unless I see an arctic blast coming.

Zone 6b Michigan. Doesn't really start getting "cold" until December.

IMG_9635.thumb.png.a6e83768ee017f7b589065c7c8ffaad9.pngI would cover it for any cold events under 15 degrees for the first winter. I tried planing this one late in the fall a few years ago. The original trunk died that winter, but there were several pups that sprouted in the spring.

What's to the right? An olive or oleander?

the lowest i let mine see was 2 nights of 18 degrees,  I could probably go a little lower, but I wanted to be safe
