I walked with some friends last weekend to St Columba Falls in North East Tasmania, saw some pretty spectacular D antarctica, but for me the highlight was the number of Atherosperma moschatum, Southern Sassafras, growing on the tree fern trunks. This is a common phenomenon in Tassie rainforests but these were nicely developed and easy to photograph. The falls were a bonus!

This Dicksonia has reversed the script and is growing over the top of a reclining tree, in this case a tree daisy or Musk, Olearia argophylla. It's putting down new roots as a flat pad on the tree trunk where it turns upwards. Looks a bit like a mutant elephant seal.
