Looking great, and at this point can be confident it will keep the lisoid genetics!

Subscribe to my YouTube here  to follow along my Sabal obsession....  Quite possibly one of the biggest Sabal plantings in the US.

Thanks! Most of them were regular palmetto but she is definitely Mrs Lisa. 😆

Right?!

Problem is,people in Arizona often don't buy anything they are unfamiliar with.🤷‍♂️ Could be the rarest palm in the world, and if it cost over $100 in a 5 gallon, most would pass. Unless the owner is willing to ship or sell for a giveaway price,it is best planted in the ground or donated to a local public garden like Boyce Thompson here in AZ.

I can finally confirm, after growing it for a few years, I have an actual Sabal sp. 'Lisa' (on the right in this picture). It's from Josue in Fresno and grows very slowly compared to most Sabals I've had. The one on the left was purchased about the same time from a commercial nursery and marketed as a 'Lisa" also, but it's obviously a S. palmetto. Based on what Brad is advertising above, it'll be several more years before mine develops characteristic Lisoid fronds.

I get at least one call a month of people looking for the lisa. I used to have a whole bunch of them but have slowly sold them all off. Ive started a new crop but it will be years until they are going to show the trait.

@HillizardIf you put it in the ground it will grow much faster.  I have 6 of them and I finally planted one, it is easily double if not triple the size of the ones I left in the pots after only 6 months.
