If you're referring to the brown fuzzy stuff it's called tomentum and perfectly normal.

Here's a pic of my Copernicia prunifera that I just took.  Plenty of tomentum.

No bugs just tiny ants thanks for replying

Ants by themselves shouldn’t be a problem for your palm but they can farm mealy bugs which are small oval or round insects. It would be easy to spot those around new spears and on the undersides of the leaflets. Ants that farm mealy bugs here in my area of Florida are usually medium to large ants though.

I see not the insects, however termites like to tunnel in dead wood. Never seen them in anything live.

Here's a pic of my W. filifera with some termite tunneling up to live tissue.  No damage to the live tissue but they cleaned up the old leaf boots.  I hosed off the tunnels and they moved on to other dead wood.  Currently they're doing the same to a young mule palm.  :(

Nice to meet you Sami!

As D. Morrowii notes, ants literally farm mealy bugs, aphids and scale insects, by chasing away other insects that would eat or otherwise harm them. The bugs they farm secrete honeydew which the ants love, and which, if it accumulates, can turn black from mildew.

Sometimes, you’ll just see ants foraging in the palm’s crown in which case they’re not a problem. Your palm looks beautiful and healthy to me. On the other hand, good on you for watching it closely for any problems.
