It’s been a good run.  5 years in the ground here in MA zone 6A.  We are moving to 5B 1300.’  The timing is really bad but they will be stored in a cool garage until March.  Fingers crossed.

Good luck. That's a lot of work to move those. Then again, I am sure you have put a lot of work into keeping them alive. I hope your plan works out for you.

Fingers crossed!  How hard was it to get into truck?

Hopefully your new place has a heated basement with a good southern exposure side to plant on that's protected from the wind . That's dedication!

Good luck 🤞

@AllenNot terrible.  I slowly pulled them out with my truck and then used a tree dolly and ramps.  I have them balled and burlaped in a garage that gets cold but doesn’t freeze.  Wondering if I can leave them dry for a few months.  I never watered in the winter when they were in the ground but different scenario.

I would give them some water every couple weeks - once month.  Watch fronds and make sure they don't fold up

UPDATE

Needle palm was kept in an unheated garage since Thanksgiving.  It looked great for a month or so, so I left it alone.  I came back around Valentine’s Day and it looked really bad (no water).  Fast forward a couple of weeks (some water) and it looks better.  I planted yesterday and it is a little pale.  No spear pulls so I hope it recovers.  It’s been bomb proof for me the last 5 years and if it makes it through this past winter it would be miraculous.

@PAPalmtreesThe Trachycarpus is looking like the day I dug it up, surprisingly.  I haven't thought of a place to put it yet.  Will have to figure it out soon though.

I would never entertain job postings from places where it snowed.
