How old are those? Mine are about 5 months and are gaining some size, but alot of them have rust on their leaves. Have you experienced this on your Splendidas?

Hi Mike;

This one is the biggest splendida I have and it is probably 3 and a half years old as I recall. I had it under 70% shade cloth for the first two years and it was not as nicelooking then. I repotted this palm about a year ago and used humus and manure in the mix, with a bit of clay too, and moved it to a wind protected Delonix shade behind the house. I have several other small seedlings now but I prefer to grow them under more shade from now on.

Great collection of palms. Your house is about the same distance as mine from the ocean except I have a few houses in my view(damn). I guess its added protection from the wind and salt spray. I assume most of your collection is on the other side of your house and your salt and wind tolerant palms in the front?

Also, how old are the the Leptocheilos and Bottle palms you posted?  I'm growing them also and would like an idea of what they will look like in a given time frame.
