The ultimate Sabal for sale thread

Cold is coming so we spent the last few days moving everything from the nursery outside inside to stay warm and we'll round trip in no time...  With that, we've got seedlings for sale!  We are local to DFW (free pickup) or we can ship for a flat $20 per pair of seedlings... some of the three gallon require their own shipping they are so big so we'll figure it out once you have made a selection.  PayPay/CashApp preferred please...  I have many pictures pictures of the majority of everything we sell, so if you want to see a parent pic just let me know.  I didn't want to clutter up the thread too much..

Feel free to txt me as I will reply quicker and can send you pictures if you're needing anything else, 8474041234

Sabal louisiana (palmtalk survivor) ($15/each)  This is a super interesting one and near and dear to my PT heart.  This baby was found washed up, and has a full thread on its recovery.  The owner was so gracious to send me some beans and here they are... awesome survivor palm.

Sabal sp. GSU ($15/each) Unique parent palm that doesn't fit the bill of a palmetto or mexicana (standard that is).  Collected and grown from this palm in Georgia by Tom McClendon.

Sabal blackburniana ($20/each and parent palm is in CA with a fellow PT member, great guy BTW)  The parent is incredibly beautiful and has proven to be very very hardy down here in DFW with younger specimens shrugging off 9.9f and days below freezing with barely any foliar burn.  This one is a winner.. we also have some 1g and 3g available as well.

Sabal DeFuniak Springs (DeFuniak Springs, FL) ($50/each) The one, and only DeFuniak Sabal.... seeds collected by my friend Tom McClendon who was the original discoverer of this palm many decades ago... These are three gallon and needing a bigger home ASAP.  These have proven very hardy here in DFW with a few at this size suffering our last two winters and shrugging them off with barely any foliar burn.. These are also VERY fast growing.

Sabal rosei (Augusta, GA parent) ($50/each and I only have about six of these to sell for now)  The parent tree is in Augusta, GA owned by Joe LeVert who had acquired the seeds originally from the IPS back in the 70's... incredible specimen!  We've got one here in DFW and it's an absolute tank with a trunk starting to push right now.

Sabal miamiensis (These are from Frank Glavin in Gainesville, FL) ($50/each and are busting at the seams needing a larger pot)

Thank you.  I remember reading your thread that many many moons ago people wanted to rip Sabls out and they weren't desirable but I will tell you there is a huge demand for this genus.  They're an incredible palm and we need a LOT more of them, and in more northern zones!!!!  Tough as nails for the most part.

Sabal minor (Lewisville, TX).  Local ecotype I found about two years ago with the parents being MONSTROUS and I will say this is the largest, and fastest growing minor we offer... not sure precisely what this is ultimately but it's a beast.  These are all needing to go into a three gallon ASAP.  The parents had about 2' of clear trunk $35/each

Sabal louisiana "Little Elm, TX".  A local ecotype I found that had some large parents as well with clear trunk.. will try to find the parent picture but I found these years ago.

Liner size - $15
one gallon - $30
Three gallon - $50

Washingtonia filifera (DFW parent.. been here for decades, and ultimate parent is below.  There are a few filiferas out in the middle of Chino Valley, AZ so it's as pure as you're going to find.  There are siblings here in DFW but seeds ALL come from the AZ parents.  Nothing else around for 50+ miles to pollinate.) $25/each and I have a few left with full palmate fronds emerging now.

Do you still have Sabal Brazoriensis available? Would you be able to ship 2 brazoriensis together? If my math is right, it would come out to be $20 for shipping + $30 for 2 Brazoriensis = $50 total

Which brazoriensis are you looking for?  We have older ones but have smaller greene county GA ones available for $15/each which is where I think your math comes from.  If so, then yes.  PM me

Still have one more "Sabal mystery" that came out of my compost pile that I am fairly confident is a blackburniana.... the next order gets it for free as part of the order.  I had a bunch of these and this is the last one!

Just an FYI we are done shipping for the week in anticipation of the arctic front coming next week so we will resume shipping on January 27th but are taking orders now still.  Thanks for your support all!

Second one we think, think is Sabal uresana but not 100% sure.  No one really knows but looking at seed, fruit size and inflorescence that is the thought.  For now it’s just a monster!

The parent is located in the Atlanta area so it sees cold weather periodically but has shrugged every single winter off for two decades now, so I’d say it’s worth a shot as far as hardy goes.

Ok then cool i will definitely buy on as long as its sold on the website or if i have to yeah ill just use paypal but its a real beauty i have a notoriously invasive and terrible tree in my front yard bradford pear (They are everywhere in ky and wv white blossom trees everywhere!) The flowers smell like garbage in spring they die in 20 or so years we are just lucky we have one year left and the foliage is so dense it cant sustain an orchid on it or grass even kills grass! Yeah its bad getting rid of it very soon.
