Yes, when I was describing it, it went under and my hand almost froze off while taking the photo, it was so cold in the little town

Very cool! I love Germany. It’s one of those places you don’t think about seeing palms in. Same with Switzerland, Trachycarpus is invading them

I've seen some get to about 60 leaves before needing a trim. Hence, folks should 🛑 trimming so much.

Arbon is a little town in switzerland, between city constance (germany) and bregenz (austria) and yes in germany it gives a lot of beautiful places too for trachycarpus fortunei

Oh! You’re in Switzerland lol, just assumed you were in Germany lol. Switzerland is also a beautiful place! Are any naturalized trachycarpus in your area? I heard it’s a huge problem in Switzerland

I have no context when looking at that above map. I decided to Google a town (Überlingen) at random and get a wider perspective to get my bearings. The first thing that came up, was a mid-air collision killing 71 people in 2002. 😬

I should have gone straight to Google maps instead. At least now I can better visualize where this is on a larger scale.

This is funny because when I googled Lake Constance once the first thing that came up was an article about the many car crash deaths along the lakes roads.
