Sometimes palms drop parts that annoy hell out of me.

Like spent infructescences, like that from an Archontophoenix tuckeri.

Maybe there’s some that vex and annoy you?

Don’t get me started on my Queen palms ! Just kidding , they drop so many seeds and the debris prior to the seeds are a bit of an irritant. Also all the lovely palms with teeth or spines . Beautiful as they are , getting poked and cut ain’t no fun. Oh what we do for our obsession. Harry

Washes are like weeds, when they start fruiting. And worst of all seeds are round and small and can be easily carried every where by gusts, such as potting medium and water tanks.

they fall,many seeds of butia,washingtonia,  sabal, livistona chinensis, syagrus romanzoffiana, and these grow like weeds, and my wife has to uproot them

Here the Washie seeds get eaten by coyotes and pooped all over.

The trouble with a lot of palm parts is the extra work they require to process. 
 

The Archontophoenix “beard” in the OP doesn’t fit easily anywhere including in the fireplace.

@Darold Petty I recall you noting a time or two how the abscised leaves on your tall Rhopalistylus eventually gave rise to liability issues.

Less evil than magpies feeding here regularly on Livistona chinensis seeds and painting blue afterwards entire balcony!

I used 'bungee' cord to tie up the fronds so that they could not fall uncontrolled.  Eventually,.. I was at the very top of a 28 foot extension ladder !   (Scary !)  When they became too tall for this ladder I had them removed.  This was doubly painful, as they were surely the tallest of their kind in northern California, and the tree service charged me $2000 to remove them !  :unsure:

I still have three adult Rhopalostylis, and will just live with the frond drop.  Where the two tall ones were I have now planted a Brahea edulis,  it won't get tall in my remaining lifespan !
