A few palms for local pickup in Houston

I know there aren't many PT'ers in the Houston area, but figured I'd post here first before listing on FB.  Porch pickup from League City or can possibly arrange to have pick up in Memorial area on Fridays.  Paypal/Zelle/Venmo.  Not interested in shipping at this time.

Chrysalidocarpus/Dypsis Pembana 1gal $15.  I have a bunch, mostly red petiole but a few yellow as well.20250301_144619.thumb.jpg.7c539d283e158c1e3b98f5364f806b5d.jpg

Allagoptera Arenaria 1g $15.  These are 3 years old and notoriously slow seedlings, so should be time for them to start speeding up.  Have multiple.20250301_144732.thumb.jpg.714c2b3ce73fcdd088d8f306b95c10fe.jpg

Butia Odorata 3gal.  Only have 1.  $2020250301_150202.thumb.jpg.81b5a948dff2dc3bc04a2d92da8ea5af.jpg

Livistona Decora 7gal $75.  These were from NTCHP and they want to go in the ground badly.  The Decora in the pic is from the same batch but was the lucky one that got planted in summer of '21.  They grow FAST in ground.  Survived 15° unprotected with no issues.20250301_150120.thumb.jpg.7e1cb0cd8f20392a324779fd845c4cf5.jpg20250301_150037.thumb.jpg.50126e3fc84ad32a70bd2c6c91bb0c00.jpg

Not a palm, but I have a bunch of 3gal Brachychiton Rupestris aka Queensland Bottle Tree.  $40 ea.20250301_145940.thumb.jpg.7ba7e693e06e611ae32d113db9388d37.jpg

Chamaedorea Tepejilote 1gal. $10, have multiple.

Are those bottle trees hardy here?

I’ve been stalking your marketplace ad for that Livistona.  I figured it had to be from someone on here with the reference to NTCHP.

Texas root rot is the big problem with them down here but if they get enough trunk on em they should survive your worst winters and come back from the ground anyways.  Assuming they don't get root rot.

I'm not 100% sure to be honest.  I've had one in ground for 2 years.  It got knocked down to about 6" after the 22° (if I remember correctly) freeze but got back to 7-8' this past summer.  I tried to protect it for this past 15° blast but I hung C7's on it and it looks like I burned a few spots.  So likely damaged again but looks good up until 5' or so.  I'm pretty confident it's at least root hardy until it gets some girth like @ahosey01 mentioned.

I have a hard time imagining something with that much meat on the trunk ever really freezing beneath the cambium layer but idk I'm not a hort student lol
