I planted this Sabal uresana as a strap-leaf seedling in a dry part of my property and it has grown well.  Unfortunately a yard leak (supply side) basically created a swamp and the uresana has been sitting in 1" of water for a couple of months.  I know some species like palmetto and mexicana thrive in such conditions but assumed that uresana wouldn't be happy.  I tried my best to divert the water away from it but it's in the lowest part of the yard.

It's clearly not happy and I knew moving it might be a death sentence but I decided it was going to die if it continued to swim!  I dug a 15-gal size hole for a 3-gal size palm and it seems like I was able to keep the "bulb" and roots intact but maybe broke one root in the process.  Maybe it'll survive?  Meanwhile I've taken advantage of the conditions to plant an Acoelorraphe wrightii, Ravenea rivularis and a Phoenix paludosa hybrid (thanks @ahosey01!)

If it came out perfectly, or nearly so, it could survive. Hopefully 🙏🏽. Tho at the same time sabals hate being disturbed regardless. The other 2 should be fine tho.
