Planted a couple of palms Chambeyronia houailouensis, dypsis sp CLBS entire leaf

Planted a couple of winners today in the garden. With the weather being so good for planting you got to get em in the ground it’s the only way palms start growing in the ground! A few might recognise where they came from I will leave it those few to guess away. So you know there in good hands @happypalms in the garden.

They certainly are a couple of nice additions to the garden. Best part is there planted near the driveway prime viewing spot for them in the future.

Yet another dypsis I have never heard of. Is it a single trunk ? How big do they get too ?

Yes another one peachy. It does sucker but only a few thin stems and from the pics I have seen of it about 3 to 4 meters tall absolutely perfect for your garden. So you better sneak in and pluck it out when iam out shopping for more plants.

Oh no way, I don't care how thin they are, a trunk is a trunk and my palms only have one. So there.

Perhaps a nice little dypsis minuta is more your style than possibly one of the smallest palms around and a single trunk as well.

They mature at 5m in height and take ages to get tall..if anyone will see that. They can be tall but take eons

When Rob's Rare Palms was still operating, she had a couple of them 12 or more metres in height. They were spectacular when they had a new leaf. She also had a few 3 and 4 metre high Chamaedorea metallica in pots.

No one has them that size here. Must be another Chambeyronia. They don’t make a new leaf like macrocarpa

Never you would love it like a mother and tend to it’s every need.
