oh my god, you're right. i think i got a bit too much sun this afternoon. i couldn't see this one because of all the signs 🤔
thanks for the identification and the link anyway.
i really liked it.
but it doesn't seem to react too well to frost according to iNaturalist's description.

:lol:  Don't sweat it ..If i had a U.S. Dime for every time i've butchered an plant name, ..or didn't notice a sign ..i'd own a dozen bases on the moon, lol.. 

If it behaves like most Peonies, they tend to go dormant thru the colder months and emerge / grow  during the Spring -Summer..   Can tolerate a little heat, but not something i could grow here.. Great group of plants where they can be grown though.
