Thanks Keith, I am so bummed out we were getting close to a dozen eggs a day, everything was great until the damn opposums ripped thru the chicken wire and killed all my layers and the rooster bling bling, I have new chickens on order from the hatchery, but it will be around march before they are old enough to lay any eggs!

I am doing ok, my olive tree contract is a super saving grace!!

I am making 6 drops saturday, its gonna be a long grind, but I am glad to have the business, at one time I drove to Houston anywhere from 3 to 5 times a month, the difference now is I am much better equipped to do it now. I will roll outta here a little after midnight and take it easy, the truck is maxed out, but I am also holding 100 gallons of diesel too so it should balance a little as I go along, I will be glad to get the 2nd drop off, 6 cidps, and 6 dacts,

I believe it's an Agave lophantha quadricolor It sure is a beauty.

Here is a LINK to the site I used to ID it.

Jeff, I have different thoughts on that for you guys. With all the damage here in TX and along the Gulf coast, they will be a large need for replacements plantings, I know Galveston will need a lot! Could be good news for you guys IMO.

Posted

The winner is the gentleman from Temecula, it is in fact a lophanta quadricolor, as for absolute cold hardy?? I am not sure,

Michael I hope your right, I know the damage we saw on the way to la porte was really impressive and the stuff that was torn up in the woodlands and spring was crazy too,

That truck in Post #1060 looks even more overloaded than mine did when I left your place if that's possible.

5 tires! He broke the record the guy that hauled the stuff I got from CA last month set. He went through 3. He mistakenly thought he could haul 25,000 lbs on his trailer, excluding the weight of the trailer. When he got here I checked the tag on the tongue. It said GVWR 25,000 lbs. He said that at the scales the trailer came in at 29,000 lbs. Oops! Cost him 3 tires, an extra 800 miles (he was supposed to deliver it to me in El Paso), and 3 days.
