Valtrex commercial

MattyB

Recommended Posts

So, I'm watching TV and one of those Valtrex genital herpes commercials come on (not making a joke about herpes here, just palms).  The commercial has a few scenes of a chick rollerskating along the beach.  It's obviously SoCal, probably Santa Monica by the looks of it.  And she skates by two beautiful tall Coconut palms just sticking out of the sand.  They didn't quite look right to me and upon rewinding I could see that they were fake trees stuck in the sand.     They're pretty good knock-offs but not good enough to fool MattyB!  Notice the bluffs and the Washingtonias on them, and Malibu mountains in the background.

Good work spotting the fakes matty. Maybe they need to hire you as a consultant for thier commercials. It might pay good too, seeing as they have money to spend on fake palms :D

They are only virtual palms, not fake ones stuck in the sand, merely fake ones scribbled in the sand.

Those "cocos" are either fake or dead.

Nice work Matty!

So what's the point of using fake palms? To sell a fake product to fake people with a fake lifestyle?

We're spoiled. Movie watching is not the same anymore. They can't fool us! Movies supposedly filmed in some exotic jungle but with nice Sabals and Serenoa... they can't fool us. We can't immerse fully into a movie anymore. Also we can spot the fake UFOs.
